Before pursuing higher studies I have worked as a volunteer at the Befrienders NGO involved in suicide prevention (1997-1999).
I have completed two degrees in psychology at Fergusson College and the Department Of Psychology of the University of Pune: a Bachelor of Psychology with distinction(2002), a Master of Clinical Psychology( 2005) with distinction as well. I have been practising as Educational for 3 years and as Clinical Psychologist since October 2009.
I have also served as Psychologist at the SOS Childrens Village for three years.
In addition I have been delivering lectures on various psychology-related topics at the University of Mauritius, the University of Technology and the Mauritius Institute of Education. I am also regularly requested to train nursing officers in counseling skills.
